ZEO-ACTIVE Zeolite for Aquaculture
ZEO-ACTIVE is active ingredient made by natural and unique volcanic rock, namely Zeolite rock. Zeolite naturally has capability to adsorption and ion exchange against toxins or poison. By using activation technology we get a maximum power to adsorb and bond ability. Even in the high salinity water.
Naturally, the poisons in the pond water consist of :
· Most result of bio-chemicals organism reaction are Ammonium (NH4+), Ammonia (NH3), H2S, CO2, Nitrate (NO3), and Nitrite (NO2)
· The result of chemical reaction of the elements in the pond's bottom such as Pyrite (Fe2SO4), H2S, Sulfate, Sulfite and Heavy elements (Pb, Cu, Zn)
· The waste of shrimp metabolism, like Ammonium (NH4+) and Ammonia (NH3)These poisons will hamper the shrimps growing. Furthermore, the shrimps could be killed when the poisons are over concentration.

Based on our research in Fisheries Faculty of Bogor Agriculture University - Indonesia, ZEO-ACTIVE showed its capability in the seawater with 30 ‰ salinity. In this condition, it's able to reduce N-total (amount of Ammonium (NH4+) and Ammonia (NH3) at 1 ppm by 4 tons ZEO-ACTIVE/hectare of the pond. Further Nitrogen that has been adsorbed cannot be released again.
ZEO-ACTIVE is not dangerous because its former of substance is pure and natural, not in the form of mixture or synthesis. That substance itself is dissoluble and remaining stable although in the acids or bases. It is strong and should be decomposed by a very high heating.
ZEO-ACTIVE reaction is not able replaced by limestone or dolomite because it is contrary. The purpose of both limestone or dolomite is to increase pH, since pH in the pond tends to decrease due to the reaction between sulfur and CO2 that can produce poisons like H2S and H2SO4.
DOSAGE and HOW TO USE
When the water is poured into the pond, before spreading the shrimp fry, spread out evenly the Zeolite at 300 - 500 kg/Ha on the surface of water
